Book any combination of item types.
A package can range from fixed items, right up to completely customized when booked.
A guest wants a specific package with an additional item or two? No problem.
Do you want to offer 'all-inclusive' packages, but yet be able to add no-charge (or chargeable) items on-the-fly? No problem.
Prices can be pre-specified, calculated based on the packaged items, or determined by the reservationist.
Packages can be setup to offer the guest 'One Of' choices when they book, so that each package can be tailored to each guest.
Activities
Activities can have any number of start times per day.
Time limits can be for the activity, or across similar activities at the same time or for the day.
Offer your own activities and offer ones run by others (ROAM keeps track of commissions/payments)
Need to automatically book a meal or rental with an Activity? No problem, even the accounting is properly calculated.
Lodging
From open-spaced campsites to hotel rooms, ROAM can book any type of lodging.
You can even book individual beds in a room, ideal for hostels.
Assign units at reservation time or pre-arrival.
Price based on people, rooms, or a combination.
Rentals
Rent items for fixed time periods, or for whenever someone happens to come by.
ROAM keeps track of what's available when so you can't overbook.
Price by the day, week, hour, by the person or item.
Meals
Let your guests book meals at your facilities. Either a la carte, or included with other items, or as part of a package.

Retail
Book any retail item on a reservation. Does a guest want to pre-purchase a DVD or hoodie? No problem.
This will work whether or not you use ROAM's retail Point-of-sale module.
Transportation
Record guest flight info. Charge for shuttles. Record dates, times, flights, in-bound, out-bound.
Miscellaneous
Miscellaneous is catch-all to charge for any item not in the above categories. Charge per person or flat rate.
Roster and Waivers:
Rosters can be used to record which participants are participating on which items.
From that information waivers can be automatically filled out and printed or emailed.
Also, rosters are used to track the history of all participants.
Payments:
Any number of payments can be entered, from a vast array of payment types: Credit card, Cash, Check, Gift certificates
and Rain checks (which ROAM manages), Accounts, and up to 9 payments types you can specify.

Follow Up System
The Follow Up system is used to 'followup' with guest inquiries or with existing reservations. The purpose is to
eventually turn a prospect into a reservation, and communicate with a group leader who has booked.
The Follup Up system is comprised of Streams and within streams are Stages.
Stages are used to determine when and how a person is contacted, and what document to send.
You can configure as many Streams and Stages as you like. Plus, you can setup rules to determine which
Stream a prospect or reservation is entered into.
The ROAM mailing list is not just where you record a person's name, address, email, and telephone numbers.
The ROAM mailing list will track all reservations, quotations, cancellations, inquiries, preferences, family members,
gift certificates, rain checks, payments, correspondence, etc. The Mailing list is the spot in the system where all information
regarding an individual is kept. Including demographic info: gender, is married, has kids, occupation, and even more.
Families and Duplicates
To aid with limiting duplicates and multiple mailings to a household, mailing list entries can be part of a family.
A family is comprised of a head of household, spouse, and up to 8 dependents. Each has their own customer#,
but all are grouped together. One can be designated to receive mailings, while the others don't.
Families change over time, and so can the members of a ROAM mailing list family. If a child moves out on their own
they can be made the head of a new household. Did a person make a reservation one year and their spouse the next?
They can combined into one household.
Is one person in your list more than once? Combine them under one entry and have their records merged together.
International
ROAM has all countries and all countries' regions. Do you know the dialing code for Norway? ROAM does. (it's 47)
Select a country and ROAM provides a list of all regions. Enter a US or Canadian postal code and ROAM knows the city.
An availability display is made up of one or more Tabs on the screen. Each Tab can have one Grid.
But, the Grid displayed can be date-specific. From date A to date B, Grid X appears. From date C to date D,
Grid Y appears, and so on. You can have as many displays as you like, containing as many Tabs as you like,
containing one or more Grids.
Grids are designed by you. A Grid shows information about your bookable items. Information like the Time, the limit
how many are booked, how many are available, and so on. Information can be zoomed in on to see individual reservations
or to enter notes about items. You can even book an item right from the Grid.
As well as items being displayed, dates, text, even sub-totals can be displayed. You can pick the font, colors, etc.
Just drag and drop elements onto the Grid.
ROAM comes with dozens of pre-configured reports. From operational reports to sales and accouting reports.
Each report comes with a universe of columns and a default layout. You can add/remove/move columns,
add sub-totals, totals, filters, sorts, and summaries. View, export to CSV, even create PDFs.
Create your own Reports
If you need information that the pre-configured reports don't provide then you can create your own.
Link tables together, select your fields, even enter raw SQL.
Add sorts, filters, sub-totals and totals. Even design your own output format with multiple rows and columns
per record.
With just a few lines of additional HTML code, your website can be transformed into a real-time reservation enabled
website. Take reservations, payments, even let a group leader manage their reservations.
Reservations
Any reservation item can be booked, including packages. Any number of items can be booked. Availability is checked,
prices are calculated based on a user-specified 'internet' rate. Once the reservation has been confirmed it's a
reservation like any other reservation.
Payments
The deposit is calculated just as if the reservation was made in the office. The guest can pay via a Gift Certificate,
Rain Check, or Credit card.
Inquiries
Easily place a ROAM generated inquiry form on your website. It's international aware, knows about zip codes and postal codes,
and knows what inquiry codes, and preference codes that you've setup in Roam.
Online inquiries are merged right into your mailing list (with duplicate checking), while emailing the office staff.
Personal Adventure Center
Group leaders have access to all of their reservations (made online or not). While they cannot modify these reservations
they can do quite a number of functions.
Ideally, group leaders will enter the name/address information for each participant. And, once that it done,
it only takes seconds for them to indicate which members are participating in each booked item. From there, waivers
can be printed or emailed to each member. On the arrival date it's possible that all participants arrive with completed
and signed waivers.
Group leaders can also print/email documents such as invoices, payment receipts, etc to each member.
Group leaders can send email requests for member payments. If they assigned members to items, then the payment
amount each group member should make is automatically calculated.
Up to 99 rates per item. Rates can be things like Retail rates, Wholesale rates, Internet rates, etc
Any number of date ranges per rate, which allows low-season and high-season prices in the one rate.
Add in special dates with their own prices.
Use the same rate year after year (less setup time).
Within a rate you can have prices for each day of the week.
Up to 4 price classifications per day ie Adults and Youth, or Unit and additional, or whatever you like.
Optional Group size based pricing. Set your own price stages.
Up to 4 tax/service charge codes per item. Use them for sales taxes, service charges, park fees, etc.
Sales Allocation
Each item can have up to 4 GL sales codes assigned. The dollar amount allocated to each GL can be fixed
or a percentage. If an item has an included item, then a pre-specified amount goes toward the included
item and its 4 GL codes.
In packages, each item is allocated a sales amount based upon it's relative value to the whole package.
Then the amount allocated to each item is broken down into each item's 4 GL codes.
Payments
Each reservation can have up to 999 payments. There are a variety of payment types including credit cards,
cash, checks, gift certificate, rain checks, transfer from other reservations or the retail POS, or up to
9 custom payment types.
ROAM is very flexible. Any number of items can be setup in any of 7 categories, plus packages.
Each item can have multiple rates and prices, a flexible schedule editable right down to each day.
Items can be your own items, or those operated by third-party partners. Costs can be calculated as
owing to or due from partners based on dollars or percentages.
ROAM can handle multiple currency (a reservation has to be all one currency)
ROAM can handle multiple companies: do you have multiple businesses under one roof? ROAM will separate sales,
accounting, even items offered by company.
ROAM is also multiple area aware. Do business in multiple states, or different ends of the same state? ROAM
can prevent someone from booking lodging in one area and a trip in another.
